Drug Awareness Presentation – Educating & Protecting Our Community
As part of St Brigid’s Healthy Clubs Programme, we are proud to host a Drug Awareness Presentation on Thursday, April 10th, at 8.30 pm in the Main Hall, Russell Park. This important event is open to all our members and parents, providing vital insights into the dangers of drug misuse and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities.
St Brigid's Supporting our Community
We are honoured to welcome two distinguished speakers:
Detective Superintendent Sé McCormack from the Garda National Drugs Strategy Office, who will provide expert insight into the current drug landscape, the challenges facing law enforcement, and preventative strategies for young people.
Professor Peter Lavin, Consultant Nephrologist and General Physician, who will discuss the devastating effects of drug use on physical health.
This session will equip attendees with essential knowledge, offering both a legal and medical perspective on drug-related issues. It is a valuable opportunity for parents, coaches, and young members to engage in an open discussion and learn how to support a safe and healthy environment for all.
We encourage all our members to attend and take part in this crucial conversation. Let’s work together to educate, protect, and empower our community.
