The call went out and the ladies answered. A mere 9 weeks since St. Brigid’s relaunched their second Gaelic for Mothers and Others group, they played their first game against Castleknock GAA Club.

Some of our group had never played before, for some it’d been a while. One thing they all have in common now is they’re now all St. Brigid’s players. 👏 👏 ❤️🤍❤️🤍

There were nerves on the night but once the ball was thrown in they were all straight into the fight and looked like they’d played together for years. It might have been the local opposition motivating them, but the St. Brigid’s ladies edged a close game, with a fine display of scoring, tackling, blocking and passing.

A great crowd showed up to Somerton to support our Mothers and Others. We hope to see some of them down training on Friday between 8pm to 9pm in Russell Park.

Our next game is against Erin Go Bragh in Russell Park on the 30th of May at 7.30pm with a few drinks in the bar afterwards.
Bring the family and support your Mothers & Others!
