The Senior Footballers travelled south side on Tuesday to face Kilmacud Crokes in Silver Park as they looked to drive on following consecutive wins in their previous five games.

Brigid’s were slow out of the traps against a very organised Crokes side who dominated in the mid third. The visitors struggled to get a grip on the game and half time couldn’t come quick enough as they went at the break 5 points down.

The second half saw Brigid’s have a revived energy and directness that they lacked in the first half as they pressed the Crokes defence, moving ball quickly and accurately.

Brigid’s elmiminated Crokes lead and had them on the back foot for the majority of the second half courtesy of two goals from Shane McDevitt and a goal from Gavin Balfe helping the visitors pull away from Crokes.

Kilmacud Crokes 1-9
St. Brigid’s 3-10

S. McDevitt 2-1
G. Balfe 1-0
P. Ryan 0-3
M. Donnelly 0-2
F. O’Meara 0-1
A. Waldren 0-1
S. Egan 0-1
R. Varley 0-1
