Congratulations to our very own Ciara O’Reilly who won the U14 60 x 30 All Ireland Handball title this afternoon in Kilfane, Co. Kilkenny
Ciara came back from a tight first round losing out 15-14 after a great comeback by her Tyrone opponent to win her second round game 15-11.
The third round was full of excitement in a tightly contested match - Ciara led 7-0 but again her Tyrone opponent came back to 7-5 midway through the match. Ciara increased her lead again to 13-9 but after great rallies, the game was tied at 13-13.
But the turning point was when Ciara got back a great serve to win the handout and went on to win 15-13 in three very good games against a strong opponent.
Congratulations Ciara and well done from all in St. Brigid’s - we’re very proud of our All Ireland Champion!
