This Saturday 8th November will see Russell Park host a Ceílí & Old Time Music Fundraiser in memory of Austin Joyce, father of John Joyce.

On the first anniversary of Austin’s passing, his family will celebrate the two great passions in his life - set dancing and the GAA.

John Joyce says:

“Being a Mayo man, he didn't really get to display his passion for the game all that much so he turned his attention to set dancing and he taught it in the parish centre for years. If Dad was going somewhere he didn't walk, he danced his way there. So, we hope to see as many down in the club as possible where we will have some craic and raise money for two fantastic charities also. If you're not into dancing, we have asked some local musicians to pop into the bar for an ad hoc music session. If you have an instrument, bring it with you! You play and I’ll sing 😀 . There will be a raffle and an auction on the night also with some fantastic prizes.”

The night is being hosted in aid of St. Francis Hospice & Irish Lung Fibrosis Society with all proceeds raised on the night shared between both charities.

Doors open from 7pm!

If you wish to donate, you can do so on the night or through the link below.
