Our All-Ireland 7s journey comes to an end at the Shield Semi-Final, where we were beaten 3-11 to 3-3 by a strong Walterstown side.
The scoreline doesn't tell the full story of this group. With just eight players, our girls played 100 minutes of football across the tournament while every other team had a full panel of twelve. They emptied the tank in every game and never once took a backward step.
Across the tournament they scored an outstanding 22-29, showing their attacking quality, determination and resilience from first whistle to last.
While today wasn't the result we wanted, the effort, commitment and heart shown by this team was something to be immensely proud of.
Heads held high, girls. You represented St Brigid's with pride.
