Our 2016 boys group were on the road last weekend as guests of Salthill Knocknacarra GAA for the Jack Fitzpatrick Memorial Gaelic Football Festival, hosted in Coláiste Muire Máthair.

The tournament saw nineteen clubs from all across Ireland contest a blitz of games across the day. The Brigid’s lads represented the club with pride, truly embracing the values of the day: Inclusion, Respect, Ambition & Enjoyment.

44 Brigid’s players along with supportive parents and siblings were involved in the day where they played against hosts Salthill Knocknacarra, Nemo Rangers, Ballina Stephenites, Sarsfields (Kildare) and Dunmore McHales (Galway).

But their trip west wasn’t over yet! The players, coaches and parents of the group took the opportunity to have their team’s social event on the Sunday, with a crew of over 100 staying the Saturday night in The Connacht Hotel.

Everyone had an early night in advance of Sunday’s adventure - a trip to Wildlands in Moycullen to test themselves on the Ninja Course and Net Adventure!

Thank you to Salthill Knocknacarra GAA for hosting an incredible day and to all their volunteers for their organisation and hospitality.

And finally thank you to Clare & Ross Bradshaw of Evan’s Art Supplies who kindly sponsored the 2016 Boys social event at Wildlands.
